In my 60’s, I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been by changing the foods I feed my body.

My journey didn’t begin this way.  It started when I found myself in a sinkhole of depression. I fully believed I was destined to be overweight. I was sick, suffering from knee and back problems. I had tried everything, and NOTHING was working. I hated clothes shopping. If I found something that fit, I would buy it in every color I could find to avoid having to shop.

If I couldn’t pull myself out of this where would it lead for me? I was tired, defeated and thought I would never get over this mountain of ill health.

Then, I found a program called SHAPE ReClaimed. I was initially skeptical, but after looking into the science behind it, I felt hopeful. There was no calorie counting, just healthy, anti- inflammatory foods. I remember thinking, “I think this could actually work!”.

I felt hopeful for the first time in years.

I started the program and focused on the small wins. Even half a pound was a success. Some weeks I lost two or more pounds. I couldn’t believe it. I asked myself, “When was the last time you lost 2lbs in one week?”.

I started cooking differently and my husband joined our new healthy lifestyle, and it worked! We were both losing weight and feeling better.

  •  3rd month I was down 43.4 pounds
  •  6th month 69.8 pounds

I lost over 100 pounds by the end of the year! I was thrilled!
